These Beaumont preschools use a speech and language based approach as we focus on cognitive skills, comprehension, verbal expression, academic readiness, fine and gross motor skill development, social interactive skills, art and music. We emphasize all instruction at each child's individual level of learning.
The Orchard Preschool Program's goal is to prepare children with Apraxia of Speech for Kindergarten by improving verbal communication skills, confidence and self-esteem through positive peer interactions and the support of professional staff in a natural and functional environment.
The Communication Station Preschool Program is designed to meet the needs of children between the ages of 3 and 6 years old who are primarily language impaired. We also offer the opportunity for each child to receive his or her individual treatment session in coordination with their preschool day.
The classrooms are team-taught by a certified Speech-Language Pathologist and a preschool teacher with certification in early childhood education and experience with special education.
Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Morning and afternoon sessions available.
These preschool programs help children with speech and language disorders be prepared to transition to Kindergarten.
