Beaumont Hospital, together with the Royal Oak fire and police departments, will offer Safety City U.S.A., a group of programs that focus on educating children,
teens, new parents and seniors on various safety issues.
The programs at Safety City U.S.A. will provide education through activities
that are hands-on, interactive, age-appropriate, and most of all - fun!
The "classroom" at Safety City U.S.A. is actually a replica of the inside of a home, so students can learn how to handle real-life situations. Through Safety City U.S.A.,our goal is to increase the awareness of preventable injuries, while improving the habits and behaviors of students - adult and child - who participate in the programs. A variety of courses will be offered through school field trips, afternoon/evening classes and summer camps.
Did you know? Safety City U.S.A., in collaboration with Beaumont Children's Hospital and Beaumont's Level 1 Trauma Service, also offers free car seats safety inspections. To schedule an appointment for this service, call 248-551-0103.
