Occupational therapists work with children with neurological, orthopedic, sensory integration, learning, developmental delay and autistic spectrum diagnoses. Depending on your child's needs, range of motion, strength, fine motor skills, eating (oral/motor) skills, self-care skills (i.e., dressing) and sensory integration skills are evaluated to develop a plan of care. The goal of occupational therapy is to help a child with functional limitations become as independent as possible.
