Plastic surgeons at Beaumont Children’s Hospital treat a variety of congenital and acquired abnormalities of the face and the body for newborns, children and teens. Our craniofacial team is one of the few in Michigan to be state-certified.
Beaumont Children’s Hospital’s board-certified plastic surgeons collaborate with experts in many other fields to provide innovative and comprehensive care for complex birth defects. In addition, Beaumont’s team features surgeons who specialize in microsurgical techniques and plastic surgeries specifically for growing infants and children. The excellent support provided to the plastic surgery team from Beaumont Children’s Hospital’s other service groups and the cooperative atmosphere fostered by these subspecialties contribute to the outstanding overall care our patients enjoy.
Our plastic surgeons evaluate and treat
Beaumont Children’s Hospital’s plastic surgeons actively participate in many professional and charitable organizations, including the Michigan Cleft Palate Association and Healing the Children, a national charitable organization that envisions a world where every child has access to medical care.
Plastic surgery services are available at Beaumont Children’s Hospital through a direct referral from an obstetrician or pediatrician (often another Beaumont physician). In addition, Oakland and Macomb County Schools refer students, usually to treat speech disorders.
