Pediatric Surgery

Pediatric surgery

At Beaumont Children’s Hospital, pediatric surgery is performed by dedicated pediatric surgical teams that include board-certified pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and radiologists. And they are all dedicated to handling only children’s surgeries. We offer the most advanced technologies, including minimally invasive procedures, in a child-friendly environment. Pediatric surgeries of all types – from the most common to the most complex – are performed at Beaumont Children’s Hospital.

Infants and children from all over the world are treated at Beaumont Children’s Hospital with our vision-saving vitreoretinal surgery. And as the only hospital in southeast Michigan performing peripheral nerve reconstruction for brachial plexus injury in infants and children, our pediatric neurosurgery subspecialty is one of the most comprehensive programs around. The members of our pediatric orthopedic surgery team are leaders in their specialty.

Critically ill newborns needing surgery have access to specialized pediatric surgeons and some of the latest technologies. Our pediatric intensive care unit also provides post-surgical care and is staffed around the clock by fellowship-trained pediatric intensivists.

Most surgeries are performed in the Ghesquiere Center for Children’s Surgery, which offers a soothing, child-friendly environment for your child. Children’s anxiety is relieved through the unique décor that includes:

a “river” floor
