Buddy Group

This group is for 4-6 children ages 4-11 years and is offerred at the Beaumont Health Center and Beaumont Medical Center. The focus of this group setting is on higher level life skills development. This program is designed to teach and to encourage social/peer interactions with a group environment, Children who demonstrate difficulties with integrating/maintaining simple conversations, turn taking and have poor body awareness, (no maintenance of eye contact; too close/far when talking; unaware of bumping into others structured settings) would benefit from this program. Parents could potentially be asked to participate in role-playing exercises to facilitate behavior modification. A social worker will lead this group, as well as assistance from volunteers.

Program Requirements due by September 30

• Completion of Registration Form
• Completion of Prescription Form from a physician
