About Beaumont Children's Hospital

About Beaumont 2

Beaumont Children’s Hospital, affiliated with Children’s Miracle Network, meets the medical and developmental needs of more than 100,000 infants, children and teens each year. In granting membership to Beaumont Children’s Hospital, the Board of the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI) recognized our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of pediatric care.

At Beaumont, patients and their families will find top specialists, advanced technologies, and child-friendly facilities and programs, all designed with the unique needs of infants, children and adolescents in mind. Because families are our partners, we’ve made it easier for parents and siblings to be involved in the medical and emotional care of patients. Pullout beds in patient rooms, the Children’s Miracle Network Garden, bedside computers and portable DVD players, Hollywood Video “Movie Nights,” and our unique Ghesquiere  Center for Children’s Surgery are part of the Beaumont Children’s Hospital experience.

You can access Beaumont Children’s Hospital’s comprehensive pediatric care at three campuses.

  • Royal Oak – specialized services, facilities and expertise including
    • 36 medical and surgical subspecialties
    • 83 pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists
    • More than 200 board-certified pediatricians
    • Pediatric surgical teams with board-certified pediatric anesthesiologists
  • Troy – an expanded state-of-the-art pediatric unit, including the addition of a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for treating high-risk, premature newborns 28 weeks gestation or longer.
  • Grosse Pointe – featuring a newly renovated pediatric unit with a friendly, child-oriented environment and state-of-the-art technology

Beaumont Children’s Hospital boasts a strong tradition of research and teaching, where new technologies and treatments can be put into practice quickly for the benefit of our patients. Affiliations with the University of Michigan and Wayne State medical schools, as well as the new Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, bring more than 400 residents and fellows to our campuses each year. We also host nursing students from Oakland University. The continuing emphasis on discovery and learning enriches clinical practice and spurs continuing improvement.

Beaumont’s high quality of care has earned national recognition. For more than a dozen years Beaumont has been ranked as the “Most Preferred Hospital in Southeast Michigan” by the National Research Corporation.
